Re: SBR Caliber Questions

You should list it on the form as a 9mm since that is how it will be made. Have the muzzle end of the barrel engraved with your markings and 9mm. I do this on a regular bases for customers and it is legal to mark the barrel.

Re: 300BLK sucks for IDPA

When one of us is using a suppressor in our monthly subgun match the RO has to put the timer right up close to the ejection port to register the last round. The best way to get it to register is to make sure the fired brass hits the timer.

Re: 1000yrd .300BLK subs?

Nonsense!!! I shoot 220 gr subs at 1,000 yards all day long and get under 1 MOA. I've also taken moose and elk at 750 yards with my suppressed SBR using subs. OOPS! I thought I was on AR15.com. Sorry. It's easy to shoot under 1.1 inch groups at 1000 yards with subs. After all I wouldn't own ...

Re: longest range for super sonic 300blk?

I don't use the dial at all. I like to just hold over. At the one range there was a tree with a dead branch on top of the 500 yard berm that was at the perfect height for the elevation. It was hilarious telling the Snipers with SOCOM to aim at the dead branch. It absolutely blew their mind there was...

Re: longest range for super sonic 300blk?

At 100 yards on 4 power you have a 27' field of view. I would imagine you will be able to see your target with just holdover at whatever range you want to shoot at.

Re: 1000yrd .300BLK subs?

My mistake I thought you were using a 100 yard zero not a 1000 yard zero.

Re: 1000yrd .300BLK subs?

Check your calculations your holdover at 1000 yards with a 100 zero will be about 148 feet. I've shot subs at 500 yards. That is 31 feet of holdover. It is a lot of fun. You have enough time to take the shot open the action and lay down your rifle before you hear the round hit a steel target. 1000 y...

Re: Nikon P-300 BLK 2-7x32 BDC SuperSub

Already done. I am just miffed that I was told by Nikon that the reticle was marked in even increments (100,200,300, etc) for both subsonic and supersonic loads, and this is not how the reticle is done.

Re: Nikon P-300 BLK 2-7x32 BDC SuperSub

I just bought one of these scopes. I was under the impression that the reticle was set up for drop for supersonic and subsonic ammo. It is not, it is only regulated for supersonic ammo. I wanted it for subsonic use since that is the only thing I shoot. I am not saying it is not a really nice scope e...

Re: longest range for super sonic 300blk?

I only shoot subsonic rounds but I have shot out to 500 yards with them with sub MOA accuracy. There is about 31 feet (yes feet) of drop at that range. Lower power scopes work much better at that distance with subsonic ammo so you can hold over and still see your target.
