Always have loved 6.5mm (specifically 6.5x55 Swede) and the 6.5-223 has some pretty nice performance.
However for the cost per round I would prefer the larger 6.5 Grendel (or x55 swede), as the increased case capacity gives you a much wider variety of powder to choose from.

Re: AAC being " consolidated"?
Didn't think any of these companies were in the red, so the only reason for consolidation is to scrape up more profit at the cost of jobs.

Re: Am I just impatient?
Call and cancel unless its finally shipped. I ordered a S3G from Amazon (with their 5-8 day free shipping) and they had it to me within a week. With the ability to integrate a web store's availability with actual stock records, there is no excuse for them to be more than a week behind on shipping. A...

Re: Smokes Tacticle - SBR 300 BLK
"Beryllium Copper gas tube heat sink" While the heat sink is a good idea, I'd rather not have a part at risk of bursting being wrapped in a material that in its particle/vapor form causes severe respiratory damage and is many times more carcinogenic than lead. I'd probably go with somethin...

Re: How much loss of accuracy in an 9" barrel vs a 16" barre
Welcome to the forum! The majority of accuracy is dependent on the last few inches of the barrel, not on its overall length (which determines velocity). To some extent a shorter barrel will also reduce the vibrations experienced by the barrel as there is less ability and time for the metal to flex d...

Re: Denied for the recent EOTech rebate
Trijicon took back a 5-10yr old ACOG that I bought in a pawn shop near Ft. Hood. The thing looked like it had been rolled over by several Humvees, and had probably been through several tours. They took it back because the trillium might have been dim out of spec... I paid shipping one way, and had ...

Re: Denied for the recent EOTech rebate
Welcome to the wonderful world of EOTech; where the discounts are made up and the customers don't matter. You're not the first and won't be the last. EOTech is becoming an HK style company in terms of screwing over normal people because they've got government contracts keeping them afloat. For what ...

Re: Will the 300BLK rise in popularity since 5.45x39 is bann
The end of 7n6 ammo will not impact 300blk at all, though you will be able to get some good deals on 5.45 uppers. AK people and don't care about optics, good triggers, ergonomics, and modularity. You buy an AK because you want a cheap gun to shoot cheap ammo that will not fail on you. Precision, erg...

Re: Primary Arms - New Red Dot - Parallax Free - 50,000 hour
Definitely far from "cheap" quality wise. Primary Arms also stands behind their stuff. Unless you break it with a hammer or going for an ocean swim, they seem to be happy to replace stuff quickly. By comparison the first non magnified optic I bought was an EoTech 512, which stopped turning...

Re: Most cost effective way to get into 300BLK subsonic??
Build your own suppressors. Best part is that you can then build a suppressor tuned for your specific gun, as well as making it serviceable and out of whatever material you like. The only real cost is buying a lathe if you don't already have one, and that gets cheaper and cheaper with each can you b...
