Re: 300 blk optics
I've got a Romeo5 on my SBR as well. If you want a good step up and don't mind the weight, an Aimpoint PRO or ACO are great too. Sometimes better with a bigger field of view.

Re: 11 day blackout hunting
Tikka, wow very nice hunt. Looks like South Island in that pic. I spend 6 months there on the North Island, near Hamilton. I did get to the South Island but only for a quick two week trip. College kid= QUEENSTOWN!!! Never got to shoot while I was there back in '99 but I was jealous that even then su...

Re: 300 14.5 with a carbine gas system
Holy thread revival! Any updates on these builds for reliability? I have a KAC MRE that I was planning on doing a 5.56 build but I've got 5 of them and would like an iron sighted 300 BLK rifle. I like the look of the 14.5 pinned instead of 16 if I can get one. Who makes a 14.5" carbine gas 300 BLK. ...

Want to find an ultralight 14.5/16" barrel
Hey guys, need help finding an ultralight 300 BLK barrel. I'm wanting to do a light/inexpensive build with a 14.5/16" barrel. Might even consider doing a polymer lower but ive never used one.

Re: How quiet should a 300blk pistol be?
Yep, Hollywood has lied to us about many things, suppressors in particular. Took my sons friend out last week and the teenage grin before pulling the trigger was huge. He fired a few and gave me a BLK look. I explained about supersonic ammo and berms at the range. We did shoot some subs but no, stil...

Re: Why don't mfg post min exp velocity?
Yes, that's what I'm wanting to know. I want to know how at what fps a given hunting bullet expands in concrete and zombies. I appreciate that Nosler advertises that their Accubond Long Rangle will expand down to 1300 fps. Had to look around quite a bit to find that Barnes 300 grain TTSX .458 SOCOM ...

Why don't mfg post min exp velocity?
Can anyone smarter than me, which could be a turnip, explain why manufacturers don't readily post their minimum expansion velocities right next to their BC? For frick sake, if you sell a bullet, people want to know the ACURATE BC (cough, cough, Speer....), the bullet OAL, load data, and the minimum ...

Nosler 168 ABLR?
Has anyone tried the Nosler 168 Accubond Long Range for 300 BLK? With it's min exp velocity of 1300 fps it could be very cool. Obviously that's getting really heavy for supers. As in diminishing returns for drop/drift due to MV ability for the cartridge. I would think the bullet OAL of 1.390" would ...
