I've looked at the design for doing one of these and you have to remove the rails that are part of the receiver (confirmed in their text). This is essentially a one way trip for the conversion so keep that in mind. It looks like a nice well thought out design.

I agree with Rob_s, the round is not a long range round so why scope for that role?
