Re: Nickel boron bcg on sale at surplus ammo
The three AIM NiB BCGs I purchased all rusted where the gas key was staked and under the gas key. This was in a controlled environment and in the original packaging, while they were stored after purchase and before installation. The first one I installed has the NiB coming flaking off on the bottom ...

Re: ATF Form 4 wait Times
I really like it, My FFL says ATF fold him they have 30 days to mail the stamp after approval. Which probably means they will send it in the mail at day 28. Jealous of you getting your Mystic X. I currently have one in jail. Check cashed end of March. Interested to hear how it works on the Blkout. ...

I've flown with silencers several times. You treat it just like flying with any other firearm. Locked container, declare it at check in.

Re: Shooting Suppressed...where does the filth come from?
The powder often used for subsonic loads, A1680, is a dirty powder. If running supressed on an auto loader, there's a lot of crap blown back into the action.yellowfin wrote:Why is it that subsonics run dirtier?

Re: Bolt action specific subsonic loads.
I have been using 5 grains of VVN320 for any bullet 200 grains or heavier. Works great with any of my single shots and is quieter than HS-6 or Longshot at the same velocity. I was told I could use 45 ACP load data for 300 Blackout with bullets of similar weights. I do use the load data but I start ...

Re: Dillon dies vs others
Ya, I did a little more research and it seems like the go-to combo for dies is Forster full length sizer and Forster ultra micrometer seater with the Lee factory crimp die. There's really not much said about Dillon's other than the absurd price. This is the setup I'm running quite successfully in m...

Re: Recommendations for inexpensive bullets
Thanks for this information. I just ordered 500 from Palmetto as a trial. Up to now all I have loaded has been 9mm. This is my first rifle load. I haven't even installed the dies yet. In fact, I bought the dies about 10 months ago and can't even recall what I have...The Dillon shop here in Scottsda...
