That's kinda what I thought but wasn't sure if it could be done with a pure lead tip. Thanks for all the info.

Thanks.
Re: NOE HP 311-247-FN RG4
I used my 9" 300 Blk AR pistol to test bangbangping's hollow point mold, and it does not have any feed ramp modifications. IIRC, I got some minor blunting of the bullet nose, but not enough to actually deform the cavity.
However, not all ARs are equal in feeding, and some might have issues with this bullet. If you encounter that, feed ramp modifications are relatively easy, especially if you can pull the barrel out of the upper.
This barrel pictured below is not a 300, it's one of my 358 Herrett barrels, but it's a good example of feed ramp modifications to feed flat nose bullets. This barrel feeds bullets with a full 1/4" flat or hollow point without damaging them. This was done by hand with a cratex wheel followed by a felt polishing wheel in a Dremel (carefully!), and the M4 cuts in the aluminum upper were not modified. Hope that helps!

Re: NOE HP 311-247-FN RG4
That's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks.
Re: NOE HP 311-247-FN RG4
I agree. I've read a lot about modifying the feed ramps to help with bullets with a larger meplat but I never could find out how big they could feed reliably. Thank you.
Re: NOE HP 311-247-FN RG4
Glad to help, guys. It's more of the same thing, but here's another one, also a 358 Herrett AR barrel. You can see the M4 cuts in the upper are not as deep on this one, but it doesn't seem to matter. Both of these feed the rounds in the second pic; you may not need to go as far on the feed ramps for 300 Blk.
Re: NOE HP 311-247-FN RG4
Is there any particular reason you are using the GI mags instead of the oh so popular pmags?
EDIT: Just now realized what a 358 Herrett was after some research so I guess those definitely would not fit in a normal pmag.
That 358 Herrett is pretty neat. Do you have a right up on it you can post a link to? Would love to read some more about it.

Yeah, those are stainless ASC mags for the 6.8 SPC, Pmags don't work for this one. I mill out the rib on the ASC mags, for the same reasons as removing Pmag ribs on subsonic 300 Blk mags. The ASC mags also handle 2.300" OAL or slightly more; not a big deal for the subsonic bullets in this round but the extra OAL is handy for full power loads.
I wrote a little about this 358 Herrett here: viewtopic.php?f=136&t=95759 I'll have to come back and update it with some newer pics at some point. I am mostly shooting the 200gr FTX and 200gr Lee RF-GC cast bullet in the 16" barrel (full power, 35 Remington duplicate), and use the 10.5" barrel for subsonics/suppressed only. I set up that short barrel to cycle on light charges of fast pistol powder, so it's a bit quieter than even my 9" 300 Blk with subs.

Thanks again. How wide was the cratex sanding drum?
